megalomania on community night
Megalomania on Community Night @ Queen of Spades
Wed 12th December from 7pm until late
We know what it’s like.
Christmas is looming and you’re gonna have to be on your best behaviour for the rello-bash.
Smiling for Aunty Pam, trying to pick out a vaguely keto diet from amidst the piles of carbs, and somehow managing to avoid thrilling to the squeals of your nephew’ bloody, humiliating elimination by guile and steel.
We get it and we’re here for ya.
Queen of Spades is holding a celebration of power, politics and megalomania so YOU can celebrate those feelings, destroy your friends and get it all out – in time to look pure as the driven as you get your hairy kiss from grandma.
Over the weekend of 8 & 9 December, and culminating in our community night of 12 December, if you play one of our power-hungry board games and lie, cheat and claw your way to the top of the pile to emerge as the unquestioned winner from your emotionally damaged friends, Queen of Spades will give YOU tickets to the movie VICE which opens December 26 as a placeholder prize for the time you seize control of the world, its resources and wealth and enslave its peoples for your personal enjoy-sorry where was I?
The good folk who made VICE (check out Christian Bale looking unrecognisable as US Vice President Dick Cheney at www.vicemovie.com.au) have generously offered to provide us with some tickets so you can polish up the details of your malevolent vizier act over the Christmas break.
T&Cs are groups of 4 or more to play one of our list of MEGALOMANIA games (or just convince us you’ll be playing something else in a megalomanic way, your choice).
The winner from each group will take all – in this case:
🎫 a double pass for the VICE movie opening 26 December,
🎁 a chance in our major, yet-to-be-determined grand prize
Just let one of our friendly staff know you’ve arrived to sort the Queens from the commons and the game you’ll be playing for the purpose and you are on your way. Our usual $5pp cover charge to play the games applies, free if you spend $25 or more.
